From statues in parks to ornaments in houses, flower pots in gardens, and cement ornaments have gradually entered our lives. Do you know how cement ornaments are made?
First, we need to prepare some tools: molds, cement mixers, shakers, ballasts, cement, shovels, water tanks, files. Then start making.

Step 1. Mixed concrete
First, put an appropriate amount of water in the concrete. Secondly, the ideal situation is to hope that you can peel the concrete from the mold within 24 hours without affecting the strength and quality of the concrete. When manufacturing concrete, time is a very important factor, because the sooner you peel the concrete from the mold, the more ornaments can be made in the shortest time.

Temperature also plays an important role in the drying of concrete. I recommend that you cast the decorations indoors and keep them away from rain and direct sunlight, because sunlight can damage and cause the latex mold to disappear faster.

People can mix concrete in many different ways, but we will use the simplest and most reliable method I have found.

The 3: 1 ratio of ballast and cement used is very good for mixing concrete, because the 3: 1 mixture works well and will dry in 24 hours.

When starting to mix concrete, it is time to load the ballast and cement into the cement mixer. I suggest that you use the ballast to load the mixer first, and then load the cement. This will prevent the cement from sticking to the sides of the mixer.

Turn on the mixer and load the mixer with 3 piles of compaction shovel (or any size mixture you want to use), then add 1 pile of compaction cement shovel until the surrounding two materials stick together. Once mixed together, water needs to be added.

The amount of water is very important, so be careful when adding water for the first time, the ideal mixture consistency should be cream, and should slide smoothly around the cement mixer. Continue to add the right amount of water until you find the right consistency. Remember, it is important to use a small amount of concrete, because adding too much water will cause the mixture to become weak and not dry fast enough, which will also waste material. If it is too thick, many pores will be formed in the ornament.

Once the mixing is successful, the mold can be filled.

Step 2. Fill the mold
When filling the mold, it is best to place the cement mixer close enough to the vibrating table to make the filling of the mold more effective and easier. Open the vibrating table and prepare the required mold for filling.

For safety reasons, when placing the mold on the shaker, you may want to turn off the cement mixer when you take it into the jug.

You should gradually fill the mold while vibrating to reduce air bubbles at the bottom of the mold. When you gradually fill the mold, it is best to shake the mold and tap the mold on the workbench.

After the mold is completely filled, you only need to vibrate the mold for no more than 20 seconds, at which point you should be able to see the bubbles rising to the concrete surface.

After the molds are completely filled, your idea is to be able to stand them up so that the decorations will stay stable when they dry, you can use a trowel to do this, but make sure that the mold is in a stable position.

Step 3. Demold
Your decoration should be ready to be removed from the mold within 24 hours. Please check whether the decoration is dry enough to peel off. Carefully remove the glass fiber part from the mold. Pay attention to the small parts of the decoration because the strength of the concrete may not be sufficient To withstand unnecessary force or pressure.

Now, you need to lightly apply the latex in the rinse solution, which will help release the latex from the ornament and prevent it from sticking to yourself. You can add water to the washing solution to make it last longer.

Carefully peel the latex from the ornament, remember to pay attention to the thinner and thinner areas.

After removing the latex, you will notice that there may be a small amount of sharp overhanging concrete on the bottom of the ornament. You need to use a file to smooth the edges carefully to make the bottom evenly decorated. At this time, the concrete should be soft enough to easily remove any unwanted concrete. The longer it is left, the more difficult it is to remove it, so once you remove it from the mold, please proceed immediately.

Now, place your decorations in a dry place and let them continue to dry thoroughly. It may take a few days for the concrete to fully cure, and it will continue to become stronger during this time, so that you have finished making cement decorations.
